VUE Omni Centre unveils refurbished bar to kick off Edinburgh International Film Festival screenings

Vue in the Omni Centre has unveiled its new look bar space in time for its first Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) screening.

The interior of the bar has been refreshed to create a relaxed area to enjoy a refreshment whilst taking in breath-taking views across Leith Street and the top of Leith Walk, including St Mary’s Cathedral and St Paul’s and St George’s Church.

The refurbished bar was open exclusively for guests attending EIFF screenings from Friday 23 June and is now open to the public .

Robert Smith, General Manager at Vue Omni Centre, commented: “What better way to mark being part of Edinburgh’s iconic film festival than to unveil this slick new space.

“The refurbishment is part of our dedication to providing our customers with the best big screen experience possible.

The new-look bar fuses old and new as visitors can get up close to the 160-year-old façade of Lady Glenorchy Church which now welcomes guests to the neighbouring The Glasshouse Hotel.

Robert continues: “The bar area features a spectacular listed window from the Lady Glenorchy Church. I’ve no doubt the table in front of the window will prove popular with customers. It is a fantastic spot to take in the view.”
