“CHAS has helped our family live. They helped us go from surviving to living. Before CHAS, our daughter had never left the hospital. CHAS helped us to change this and allow us to see hope and begin building the most beautiful and special memories we will treasure forever … CHAS lets us be a family.”
Knowing your child is going to die before you do, is the unthinkable reality that thousands of families have to cope with every day. Over 16,700 children live with a life-shortening condition in Scotland and we are committed to making sure that no matter how short their time together as a family may be, it is filled with happiness and fun.
For thirty years Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) has been the single specialist provider of services to support babies, children, young people and their families as they face the toughest challenge of their lives. This includes specialised and highly personalised care through the range of our two hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch; our CHAS at Home service supporting families in their own homes; and our teams working in every children’s hospital across the whole of Scotland.
At present, we can only reach one in three families who require our services but with your help we can expand our reach further and make sure no one is left behind.
